We will be looking at Bloom's Taxonomy and the theory of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) to understand how we can develop strategies to extend and adapt classroom activities to involve all learners in a meaningful way at their individual level of ability.
Teachers will see how they can use the same materials with different outcomes by adapting their questions and activities to suit the individual student whilst maintaining the whole group atmosphere in the classroom.

Secondary Coordinator British Council Milan.With over 15 years experience teaching Italian students of all ages, Helen currently supports the delivery of the Secondary Plus product (scuola media, scuola superiore) and related teacher training in Milan.Originally from Manchester, Helen worked for Deutsche Bank for 10 years before swapping the trading floor for the classroom, qualifying as an English teacher at UCL London before moving to Italy. Helen is married to an Italian and has two children studying in Prima and Seconda Media in Pavia.
